Chapter 2: poetic of crumbs is inspired by the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard’s The Poetics of Space (1985)–a book about one’s personal, emotional response to buildings both in life and in literary works, both in prose and in poetry. We reflect on the idea of poesis: the form –poiesis comes from Greek –poiēsis, meaning “a making” or “creation,” from the verb poieîn, “to make.” Artist’s books and multiples info - Hei Lam Ng 8 Package description: Obscured text and colours can be seen through the obsolete CD sleeve window. Inside the sleeve consists of two accordion paper structures: one of circular pages cut out of fine art auction catalogue and joined by words; the other a digital text collage of the book The Poetics of Space. Each structure can lay flat when folded but also free-stand when expanded, revealing the scattered texts and lines on both sides.
