Join Brigitte for this two day intensive workshop to learn the process of woodcut-intaglio. Woodcut-intaglio is a unique process developed by Brigitte that integrates intaglio techniques into the world of woodcut. This involves the use of wood-cutting tools and carving knives along with a unique preparation of the wooden matrix that is carved, inked, wiped, and made ready for printing for a varied edition of unique prints on paper. This process is non-toxic and made with familiar materials, although the use of an etching press is required.

Participants will be guided through each step of this process to create their own unique and varied edition of prints. The basics of operating an etching press, carving a wooden matrix, and inking and wiping an intaglio plate will be covered.
