Rodney Konopaki received a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) in 1989. He is a Canadian artist who has lived and worked in Vancouver for the last twenty years. He worked as a Master Printer at Tyler Graphics in New York from 1976 through 1987. Rodney has held teaching positions at the University of Saskatchewan and Keyano College (Fort McMurray, AB) before joining the faculty at Emily Carr University of Art & Design in 2005 until his departure in 2019 as Professor Emeritus. In 2007, Rodney began to collaborate with Rhonda Neufeld to create a body of prints and drawings that is both site-specific and explores the possibilities of chance in making art.

Rhonda Neufeld was born in Abbotsford, BC, Canada in 1953. In 1979 she moved to Armstrong, BC and has, for the past 40 years, resided on a small acreage where she lives with honeybees, gardens and explores ideas in art. In 1979 Rhonda graduated from Emily Carr College of Art and Design (now Emily Carr University of Art) and earned her MFA from the University of Regina in 1996. Rhonda has had sessional positions teaching printmaking and drawing at several universities, including Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, BC (2003-2005), Kwantlen University College, Surrey, BC (2006-2007), Alberta College of Art and Design, Calgary, AB (2008-2009), Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Vancouver, BC (2010) and UBC-Okanagan, Kelowna, BC (2014). Rhonda has been exhibiting since the late 1970s in solo and group exhibitions. In January 2024 she will have a solo exhibition at the Vernon Public Art Gallery, Vernon, BC. This will be her fifth solo exhibition at her city’s gallery.

Neufeld and Konopaki exhibited Chance Operations2 at nine venues across the country (2010-2013). Suggestions from Kamloops (2014), Kamloops Art Gallery, Kamloops, BC resulted from an invitation by the Kamloops Art Gallery to do a project related to Kamloops. The ten drawings from this exhibition are now in the collection of the Kamloops Art Gallery. They have had numerous other exhibitions, mainly in western Canada. They have had artist residencies at the Banff Centre, Banff, AB (2008, 2009), St. Michaels Print Shop, St. John’s, NL (2010), Martha Street Studio, Winnipeg, MB (2011) University of Regina, Regina, SK (2012), Thames Art Gallery, Chatham, ON (2013), Kamloops Printmakers, Kamloops, BC (2013) and University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK (2016).
