E.H. Curtis is a British Columbia-based artist of North and South West English settler ancestry who received her diploma in applied design from Langara College in Vancouver (2000), and Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University (2005) in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, Québec. Before entering into and co-existing as an artist and practitioner working in the field of cultural heritage preservation and access, they served as a production assistant and a visual researcher for creative communities (situated in film, theatre, public art and newsmedia) in Canada and the United States. They are currently based on the lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) & Tsleil-Waututh Nations - colonially known as Vancouver, British Columbia. She is a multidisciplinary artist, who has worked across printmaking, fibre arts, painting, and drawing. 
 
Series Description: Courting, love languages, the dances to inspire attraction and partnership within the natural world inspired this limited edition print in an ongoing series of works entitled, Love Lessons from Nature (2023). 
 
Item Description: Bird Flight is based off observational drawing and sketches produced during the early morning spring bird chorus audible in the Mt. Tolmie community within Saanich near Victoria, British Columbia in 2018. This intaglio work 
was created by pressing an inked etched copper plate through the Glen Alps press at Malaspina Printmakers (Granville Island studios) in 2023.
