Multi-block Color Woodcut

This course introduces participants to the process of multiple-block woodcut printing, and covers the basics of tool sharpening, cutting, color mixing and registration. The four-session class involves designing and cutting a key block which is then transferred to a second block. When printed sequentially, these blocks will result in the final print image. We will use both traditional and innovative means of achieving unique outcomes. Participants are asked to bring a sketch or two along as source material for their print.
