In this class, students will learn how to create prints with beautiful tonal variety using a combination of linework and aquatint. This class will cover some more complex etching techniques using aquatint, and would be a great next step for anyone that has worked with drypoint or etching with hardground. Curious beginners are also welcome.

Students will learn how to prep copper plates, apply hard ground and aquatint, step etch using ferric chloride, use a number of techniques to work into the plate after it has been etched, and print a small edition using an etching press.
