Brigitte Potter-Mael is a Vancouver-based artist with frequent projects in Europe. She received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Concordia University (Montreal) in 1983. Solo exhibitions include GEDOK (Brandenburg), Beaty Biodiversity Museum (Vancouver), Galerie drei (Dresden), Richmond Art Gallery, KKI-Labor (Flensburg), and Campbell River Art Gallery. She has received funding from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Quebec Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Kulturamt Dresden, and the Goethe Institute. She has participated in residencies at the Joseph Beuys Colloquium (Glasgow), the Banff Centre for the Arts, and the Parsonas School of Design (Altos de Chavon, Dominican Republic).
