This workshop is aimed at anyone interested in creating prints without the use of a press. It will also address classroom strategies for teachers (appropriate for grades 5 to 12) wanting to implement printmaking in their curriculum. The workshop covers simple techniques such as, relief prints, plano-graphic lift prints and monotypes. Demonstrations will be given on combined multimedia applications. Participants will be given time for hands-on experience to explore the wide range of possibilities.
Anna Di Spirito in an Alumni of Emily Carr University of Art & Design, majoring in Photography and Printmaking. She received her B.Ed. from UBC, and her M.Ed. from Western Washington University. Anna has over 30 years of experience teaching Art Education in both secondary and post secondary institutions. Her work has been exhibited in BC, Alberta and Washington State.
