03.25.08 | Call for submissions: Visiting Artist Residency

The Visiting Artist Program offers Artists the opportunity to work for one month at the Malaspina studio and receive a two week exhibition in the Malaspina Gallery.  During the residency, Artists are invited to give a lecture on their work and offer a workshop or demonstration of their specific techniques.  The Program offers Artists a unique opportunity to exchange ideas with other print Artists and discover Vancouver's internationally acclaimed arts community while further developing their practice. 

How to Apply:

Submissions should include a project proposal for the residency period, a portfolio of 12, 20 images presented on CD, a curriculum vitae, and a self addressed stamped envelope.

The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2008.

Visiting Artists receive a $1300 CDN artist fee for their residency.

Although Malaspina will make every effort to assist in locating suitable accommodation for the Visiting Aritist, accomodation, food and transportation will remain the responsibility of the Artist.
