Wednesdays from May 9 to 30, 2018, from 6pm to 9pm
Instructor: Lee McKay
Join Lee McKay to explore relief printing through linocut. In this process, carving tools are used to create positive and negative shapes on one or more lino blocks, that can be printed alone or in combination to make single- or multi-colour prints.
Lee McKay was born in Saskatoon and studied printmaking at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary from 1992 to 1996. He cofounded Burnt Toast Print Collective with four other ACAD graduates in 2001 in Calgary. His work has been shown across Canada, Czech Republic, Japan, Spain, and Portugal. He works primarily in relief and etching.
